Bring your character profile with you
Our web creation workflow supports importing compatible character cards and JSON files. Use a profile you created or have permission to bring over, then review the imported details before publishing.

A character card is more than a portrait
A compatible PNG character card can contain both an image and character data. A normal portrait PNG may contain only the image. Renaming a portrait file does not add the missing profile.
A JSON character file contains structured text. Depending on the export, you may need to add or generate an avatar separately after importing.
Check the imported fields
- Open the import option in character creation on the web.
- Select the compatible card or JSON export.
- Review the name, introduction, greeting, background, and dialogue examples.
- Choose the avatar, voice, and visibility you want to use.
- Test a short conversation before making the character public.
Profiles and conversations are different
Importing a character profile does not transfer its creator's account or automatically move chat history from another service. Keep your original export until you have checked the imported version.
If the import fails, check that the file is a complete export rather than a screenshot or a webpage saved with a different extension.
