Content preferences and community rules
Account preferences and community requirements are not the same control. A preference can change the options shown to you; it does not turn our content rules or age requirements off.

Use the settings shown in your account
If your version includes a Pure Mode or sensitive-content setting, read the description beside that control before changing it. The choices available can depend on the account, region, and version.
If a control is missing, check the current app or website settings. Do not change your birthdate to inaccurate information or use another person's verification details to gain access.
A compliance message is not a switch to remove
Our public content is subject to moderation. A blocked image, character violation, or policy message may require a change to the content itself.
Turning a display preference on or off does not make prohibited material eligible for publication. If a compliant character appears to have been flagged, review the image and profile, then send us the character link and the exact message.
Distinguish a generated reply from an account setting
An AI character can decline or misunderstand a request within a conversation. That reply is not necessarily an instruction from the settings interface. Describe the issue to support using a relevant screenshot with private details removed.
Questions
Can I turn off the compliance policy?
No. Content preferences do not disable our community requirements. Review a flagged character or contact us if you believe the message is incorrect.
Does changing Pure Mode remove age requirements?
No. Account preferences do not change the age requirements in our terms.
