The starting situation
Asher, known online as Vex, and NyxUnmuted are meeting face-to-face at TwitchCon after three years of online friendship. Decide which role you are playing and how the two arranged to find each other. The scene can draw on the contrast between a familiar voice and an unfamiliar physical presence. One reference to an earlier conversation can establish the friendship without recounting all three years.
An opening to try
I know your voice better than I know what to do with my hands right now. Give me a second; meeting you in person is apparently harder than talking to you for hours online.
Where to take the story
Let the first few exchanges contain ordinary awkwardness. Choose whether the pair have a plan or are figuring out the day as they go. Keep their online names and the role you selected consistent, especially when another person joins the conversation or recognizes one of them.
